To mark the 700th anniversary of the Swiss Confederation in 1991, the cantons gave the Swiss people the Swiss Path.

The Swiss Path by boat

Experience a wonderful section of the ‘Swiss Path’ hiking trail: from Brunnen to Rütli by boat, followed by a hike via Seelisberg to Bauen. From Bauen take the boat back to Brunnen. For sporty hikers, the return journey from Isleten is also covered by this ticket.

You can combine the hiking sections as you wish. From each location, a boat, bus or train will take you to another point along the route, making the hike an enjoyable excursion.

Since June 2023, Cristallina marble portals have been in place at all entry and exit points along the Swiss Path. The design of the portals is based on the Schiller Stone, they also serve as a selfie motif and were enabled by the Dätwyler Foundation.

Learning on the go: themed tours and excursions

‘Learning on the move’ provides information and teaching materials for themed tours along the Swiss Path. The excursions on the ‘Switzerland's largest classroom’ platform complement the Curriculum 21-based programme for school classes.
